  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 1 cup water to a boil over high heat.
  2. Add in the oats and reduce heat to medium.
  3. Allow to cook at a rolling boil for about 2 minutes then stir in the cinnamon and fruit and allow to cook another 3-4 minutes until the oats have absorbed most of the liquid and has reached desired consistency.
  4. Top with nuts if desired and enjoy hot!
